The Oxbridge International School (OXIS) is an exclusive, multi-level, International School focused primarily on the private-school needs of the local community and expatriates located in Trinidad.

OXIS aims to build better minds and better character through holistic Lower, Middle and Upper Level (primary and secondary) education and a multi-track international curriculum.

Our focus is on the development of the modern mind.  Most schoolwork will be deployed electronically, and students will be using their personal devices to access class material, including textbooks.

There are two strands availed to students:

  • ¬†Scholastic Aptitude Tests
  • The British Curriculum

Students can pursue both the SATs and the AS and Advanced Levels if they wish.

Students at the Lower School will transition from the Lower School to the Middle and Upper Schools Level seamlessly, and there is no need for students to write any examinations to move from one level to another.

Your child will not have to write the SEA examination.

At OXIS Advanced, the students will have access to the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT examinations) and Advanced Placement (AP) or International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE) and Advanced Level examinations (AS & A Level). In general, for University admission, American Universities will be looking for at least five subjects at iGCSE and/or good SAT test scores. SAT subject tests are high school level tests.  AP examinations are College-Level examinations. American Colleges and Universities may grant placement and course credits who obtain high scores on the AP examinations.

British Universities require for entrance at least five subjects at GCSE and three A Levels along with General Studies.
