On Friday the 14th of October, 2022, The ART Club hosted an art exhibition in the main lobby of the Einstein Building. Led by Ms. Rhiannon Gupte, patron teacher of the club, they put together a marvellous display of student art pieces accompanied by background classical music and a serenade by Carissa Ramsawak.
In the words of Ms. Rhiannon herself, “Art is a way of expressing of ourselves when words can sometimes fail us. My intention with the art exhibition was to create a safe space and to encourage the learners to be as free and creative as possible.”
In terms of our musical guest, her performance of Riptide by Vance Joy was a result of it being the first song she taught herself to play on the ukulele, her starring instrument. A quote from Carissa, “It felt right to play it live.”
